Ayan De, the former Enterprise Technology Head of HDFC Life, has joined Zopper as the Chief Product Officer.
Founded in 2011 by Surjendu Kuila, Neeraj Jain, and Mayank Gupta, Zopper is one of the fastest growing InsurTech companies in the country. In 2018, PhonePe bought the PoS business of Zopper, after which the company has been focusing on revolutionizing insurance distribution via its SaaS platform, deep integration layer, and data analytics.
As the Chief Product Officer, Ayan brings to the table his vast experience of close to three decades in the insurance sector, spearheading technology transformation and building great products for some of the leading insurers.
Ayan was previously the CTO of Exide Life Insurance and Delta Life Insurance. He was also associated with leading insurance players like Cholamandalam MS General as Head of IT Applications & Services and Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance as Head of Business Transformation.
Ayan began his career with the iconic LIC – the fourth largest insurer in the world and later had a remarkable stint at SBI Life Insurance. He specializes in technology-based process transformation, business process management, risk analysis and business continuity management. Ayan has a robust foundation in IT Project management and is a certified Information Security auditor.
